Our New Hex Beam

Our new hex beam has arrived and tested.  A handful of our members went to Gerry's place to check that all antenna components had arrived and to try assembling the antenna for the first time.

The antenna base was mounted on the collapsible mast and the wires for 20, 15 10 m were put in place.

 The assembly took about one hour.  Now, will the antenna be too heavy for the mast?

 Nope, it's in the air!

The antenna was checked on 20 by calling va7qi.  The F/B ratio was at least 15 dB.
